Private airlines have decided to suspend the Pokhara-Jomsom flights for two months due to the declining number of passengers in the route during the rainy season.
Tara Airlines' Jomsom station in-charge Sujan Lalchhan said that the company decided to suspend flights for two months from June 16. Tara Airlines has been regularly operating the flights on this route.
According to Lalchan, Tara Airlines will resume flights from the first week of September. "Due to low number of passengers and adverse weather conditions, Tara Airlines has suspended flights," he clarified.
Likewise, Summit Airlines has also announced suspension of flights on this route for two months from July 4. Suman Thakali, the station in-charge of Summit Airlines in Jomsom, said that the company took the decision to suspend Pokhara-Jomsom flight for two months citing less number of passengers. -- RSS
