The Rotary Club of Tripureshwor, Kathmandu, has distributed 10 wheelchairs to individuals undergoing treatment at Spark Health Home Hospital in Kalimati.
On Wednesday, April 2, the club handed over the wheelchairs to patients who had traveled from various districts across the country to receive medical care at Spark Health Home Hospital. Recognized as a leading center for physiotherapy, rehabilitation, Ayurvedic, and natural medicine, the hospital serves individuals with diverse physical challenges.
During the distribution event at the hospital, Lata Baral Sharma, President of the Rotary Club of Tripureshwor, highlighted the club’s ongoing commitment to supporting those in need. She noted that the organization had previously distributed 20 wheelchairs as part of a similar initiative. Expressing her gratitude, Sharma shared her joy in being able to provide mobility assistance to individuals facing physical disabilities, emphasizing the positive impact on their lives.
Rotary District First Lady Sarojani Sherchan lauded the club’s exceptional social service, recognizing its efforts in making a tangible difference in the community.
Former District Governor Rajiv Pokhrel also commended the initiative, revealing that the club had already distributed over 1,000 wheelchairs across Nepal. He further stated that if additional support was required, the club could coordinate assistance from the American organization Latter-day Saint Charities to extend their impact.
The event was attended by Tilak Tiwari, Chartered President of the Rotary Club of Tinkune, alongside former presidents of the Rotary Club of Tripureshwor, including Ramesh Sharma, Panchakumari Manandhar, Rajendra Shakya, and Radha Kunwar, along with other esteemed club members.
