April 8: Nepal Liquors Pvt Ltd has formally launched the Royal Challenge Whisky in the Nepali market. According to the company, the Royal Challenge Whisky is a grain-based whisky matured in American casks.
“Apart from the deep and intensely smooth blend of scotch and premium Indian grains in Royal Challenge whisky, American charred oak casks are used for ageing, during which it gains color and flavor from the caramelized sugars in the charred wood and infuses the whiskey with a unique taste,” said Rajesh Prakash, general manager for sales and marketing at Nepal Liquors Pvt Ltd.
Issuing a press statement, the company said that the brand has the Royal Challenge emblem of the lion and roundel and comes in a new packaging of black and red clutter, making the looks more distinctive, premium, masculine and bold.
The launching price of the Royal Challenge Whiskey is Rs 1360 for 750 ml, Rs 680 for 375 ml, Rs 340 for 180 ml packs.
Nepal Liquors Pvt Ltd (formerly known as United Spirits Nepal Pvt Ltd) is a company recently acquired by a Nepali entrepreneur, Rajesh Bir Singh Tuladhar, from United Spirits Limited of India and has the license as a franchisee to bottle and market popular brands of the Indian company.
Nepal Liquors Pvt Ltd said it has various leading brands under its umbrella like the Antiquity Blue Whisky, Signature Premier Whisky, Signature Rare Whisky, McDowell's No1 Whisky, McDowell's No1 Celebration Rum, and Blue Ribband Gin.
