Siddhartha Hospitality, one of Nepal’s leading hotel chains, has entered its 27th year. What began as a small hotel in Tikapur, Kailali, in 1998 has now expanded across the country. Speaking at an anniversary event, Siddhartha Group’s CEO Krishna Neupane announced that the company is working on "Vision 2030", aiming to promote Nepal’s tourism and establish Siddhartha as a national brand. He stated that by 2030, the company plans to operate at least 58 outlets, both domestically and internationally. He further mentioned that preparations are underway to open hotels in various locations across Nepal as well as in India, with plans to expand services to other countries.
Siddhartha Hospitality has built a strong reputation for quality service, which was reaffirmed by multiple awards last year. Siddhartha Riverside Resort in Chumlingtar, located along the Prithvi Highway, won the Best Riverside Resort award at the South Asian Travel Awards (SATA). Siddhartha Boutique Hotel in Boudha received the SATA award for Best Boutique Hotel, while Siddhartha Resort in Surkhet was recognized with the Best HR Practice award by the Karnali Provincial Government. Several other Siddhartha outlets were honored with the Traveler’s Choice Award for outstanding service and hospitality.
To further strengthen the hospitality sector, Siddhartha Hospitality has partnered with Lumbini University to provide training and education for students pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Hospitality. The company is also actively promoting organic food from Karnali, sourcing ingredients for its Surkhet hotel to support local farmers and encourage sustainable food production.
As part of its expansion strategy, Siddhartha Hospitality is preparing to extend its services to India while also planning a five-star hotel in Dhangadhi. The company is developing Siddhartha Cottage in Yogikuti, Butwal, which will feature a water park and arguably the largest meeting hall in the region. While the restaurant is already operational, the remaining construction is set to be completed by upcoming July. Additionally, Siddhartha Cottage in Dhangadhi is under construction, featuring a peaceful garden, a modern restaurant, a water park, and a premium meeting hall. The company is also planning to build a luxury resort in Ilam, offering villas with tea garden views, farm-to-table organic cuisine, wellness programs, and cultural experiences.
With over 2,500 direct employees, Siddhartha Hospitality is one of Nepal’s largest hospitality employers. The company operates hotels under different brands, including Siddhartha Villasa at the five-star level, Siddhartha Vaibhav at the four-star level, and Siddhartha Batika at the three-star level. Additionally, preparations are underway to launch Siddhartha Cottage, Siddhartha Café, and S Hotel. The company provides services across Nepal, managing its own hotels as well as operating others, spanning from Birtamod in the east to Mahendranagar in the west.
To mark its 27th anniversary, Siddhartha Hospitality conducted nationwide corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs across all its outlets, from cafés to five-star hotels. These initiatives focused on health, hygiene, environment, and social support, reinforcing the company’s commitment to community well-being.
