In a significant step toward integrating Nepal and Bhutan’s banking and fintech industries with the global financial network, TAB Global (The Asian Banker) and Kathmandu Fintek have signed an exclusive Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

Under this agreement, Kathmandu Fintek has been appointed as TAB Global’s exclusive representative for Nepal and Bhutan. This partnership will enable banking and fintech professionals in these countries to access internationally recognized platforms, including The Asian Banker, The Banking Academy, TAB Insights, Wealth and Society, and other key financial intelligence and networking resources.

Among the key highlights of the agreement include: exclusive rights to promote TAB Global’s conferences and training programs in Nepal and Bhutan, facilitating participation of Nepalese and Bhutanese banks and fintech institutions in TAB Global’s prestigious international awards programs, and organizing briefings, research presentations, and knowledge-sharing events in Nepal and Bhutan in collaboration with TAB Global.

During the signing ceremony on Thursday, March 13, Emmanuel Daniel, Chairman of TAB Global, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration. He stated, “We are excited about this partnership with Kathmandu Fintek. Nepal’s financial sector is on a journey of digital transformation, and access to global knowledge exchange and networking will further strengthen this process. We are committed to providing Nepalese and Bhutanese financial institutions with world-class opportunities.”

Similarly, Sanjib Subba, Founder of Kathmandu Fintek, highlighted the significance of this alliance. He remarked, “Partnering with a globally recognized institution like TAB Global marks a milestone in expanding the capabilities of the banking and fintech industries in Nepal and Bhutan. We are excited to connect Nepalese and Bhutanese banking professionals with global banking practices, digital financial services, and emerging technologies.”
