March 3: Developers of 'Hamro Nepali English Dictionary' Application said that the Android application used by one million users has been upgraded with more words.
The developers claimed that it is Nepal's first offline Android application. According to the developers, smartphone users can learn and hear the pronunciation of Nepali and English words offline using the mobile app.
Issuing a press statement, the developers said that the first edition of Hamro English Nepali Dictionary was primarily targeted till grade 10 students with limited words, but has now been upgraded.
According to the statement, Chunamani Gautam with his immense contribution for Nepali linguistics and grammar has equipped this mobile application with 30 thousand plus Nepali words and their relevant English meanings.
This interface also presents simple and conversational Nepali sentences along with their pronunciation and meanings to make Nepali learning easier.
Competitive Features of Hamro Nepali English Dictionary includes advanced words, correct pronunciation (with audios) and pictorial lessons.
The developers said that they launched the application with a belief that they can preserve the Nepali language and increase its conversational uses in Nepali families within and beyond the boarders of the country.
