The Department of Meteorology and Hydrology has said that the weather will remain mostly across the country despite some impacts from monsoon winds.

According to the department, the country is currently experiencing the impacts of monsoon winds along with partial influence of low pressure system in and around north-eastern Madhya Pradesh and southern Uttar Pradesh of India.    

As a result, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces will see partly to generally cloudy skies, while the rest of the country will have partly cloudy weather.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning may occur in a few places in the hill areas, particularly in Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces. A windstorm is also possible in parts of the Tarai region in Lumbini province. Despite these localized conditions, most areas will experience partly cloudy skies tonight, the division added.

In the next 24 hours, there is a chance of light to moderate rain in one or two places in the hill regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces. Some areas in Lumbini and the Tarai region of Sudurpaschim province may face windstorms. -- RSS
