Qatar Airways has announced an expansion of its Boeing 787 services to Europe with the new aircraft being deployed on three Scandinavian routes. The airline will launch 787 flights to the Swedish capital Stockholm on August 1, followed a month later to both Copenhagen and Oslo effective September 1.
Qatar Airways operates daily flights to each of the three Scandinavian capitals from its hub with a total weekly capacity of 21 services. Selected flights to each of the three cities will be served by Qatar Airways’ Dreamliners.
“Our Scandinavian routes have grown in stature and importance since we began flying to the region in 2007. I am delighted that our Dreamliners will be introduced to Stockholm, Copenhagen and Oslo very soon,” said Qatar Airways Chief Executive Officer Akbar Al Baker at the end of the Paris Air Show where Qatar Airways had its newest Boeing 787 on display.
