Honda’s Amazing Offering

Syakar Trading Company (STC), authorized distributor of Honda for Nepal launched its much awaited family sedan Honda Amaze on 24th June. Honda Amaze is offered as a perfect package for the current customer preferences, embodies the best of Honda’s technologies to deliver great performance with unparalleled fuel efficiency in a spacious, comfortable and attractive looking form, said the company through a press statement. According to STC, Honda Amaze is developed at Honda R&D Asia Pacific Co, Ltd In Thailand following extensive market surveys in India on people’s driving needs and lifestyles, and also suits the Nepali customers. 

The sedan is claimed to have stylish design, compactness, manoeuvrability and class leading space. The exterior styling of Honda Amaze is smooth and strong with character lines from front to rear ensuring strong presence despite its compact dimensions. The character lines integrate the front and the rear design of the sedan. On the inside, Amaze should be quite spacious as it has dimensions of 3990mm (l), 1680 mm (w) and 1505 (h), and a wheelbase at 2405 mm. according to the statement, it offers ample knee clearance, head clearance and leg room, and provides easy entry and exit. There is also a boot of 400 litres.

Amaze is powered by a 1.2L 4-cylinder SOHC i-VTEC petrol engine that delivers maximum power of 88 ps at 6000 rpm and a peak torque of 109 Nm at 4500 rpm. The sedan is available in 5-speed automatic and 5-speed manual transmissions. The company claims the manual and automatic versions of the sedan to give a mileage of 18 km/l and 15.5 km/l respectively.

Amaze also boasts of numerous safety features. The Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACETM) body of the sedan enhances self-protection while mitigating damage to other vehicles in the event of a collision, says the statement. Other active and passive safety technologies include dual SRS airbags, Anti- Lock Brake System (ABS) which prevents wheel locking, Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD) for enhanced braking performance, pretentioner seat belts with load limiters and impact mitigating headrests.

Honda Amaze is available in three variants and six different colours. The variants EMT, EXMT and SMT are available at Rs 2.55 million, Rs 2.65 million and Rs 2.85 million respectively.
