EC Planning For 1 Day Election

The Election Commission (EC) has revealed its plan to conduct the upcoming Constituent Assembly (CA) elections in a single day. Addressing an interaction program at EC office in the Capital on Monday, Chief Election Commissioner Neel Kantha Uprety said, “We wish to conduct the elections on November 19 in a free, independent and impartial manner. The EC is fully concentrated on the same.” Uprety further noted that necessary Acts have been promulgated through the ordinance while the EC has also passed the Election Regulations. More than 200,000 employees including security personnel are to be mobilized for the elections.
