Nepal and UK Sign Labour Pact   

August 22: The Government of Nepal has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the United Kingdom to send medical human resources to the UK.    
Secretary at the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security, Ek Narayan Aryal and British Ambassador to Nepal, Nicola Pollitt signed the MoU amidst a programme held at the ministry on Monday, August 22.    
As per the MoU, human resources of medical background from Nepal will get employment opportunities in the UK. The nurses going to the UK for employment need not pay any fees, the ministry informed. According to the agreement, nurses from Nepal can work in the UK for five years. -- RSS
