Singapore’s National Day Celebrated

Nepal-Singapore Friendship Society organized Singapore Day on 26 August at Hotel Annapurna to celebrate Singapore’s 48th National Day. The programme was attended by diplomats, former ambassadors and professional from different walks of life. The event also witnessed the felicitation of the Society by Special Olympics Nepal Chapter. Two Special Olympics gold-medalists presented the President and Vice President with tokens of appreciation for the Society’s support to the organization. 
 
Nepal and Singapore both have enjoyed cordial relationship since 1969 when diplomatic relations were established, and since then, numerous bilateral co-operations have taken place over the years. Nepal-Singapore Friendship Society was established in 2011, to further strengthen the relation, and to bring together people in areas of education, culture, tourism, commerce and technology transfer.
