“Finalise the number of CA seats”

RPP Pushes for CPN-Maoist in Polls
Election of the Constituent Assembly without the participation of the CPN-Maoist would render the process incomplete, said Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) chairperson Surya Bahadur Thapa. Speaking at a press conference in Biratnagar last Thursday, Chairman Thapa advised the government and the major political parties to hold a decisive talk to bring the 33 party-alliance led by CPN-Maoist into the election process.

NHRC Ruling Against Children Use in CA Polls
National Human Rights Commission Chairperson Kedarnath Upadhyay has urged political parties to not use children in the upcoming Constituent Assembly elections. Speaking at a function to sign an agreement with UNICEF on child rights promotion and advocacy project last Wednesday, Upadhyay said the NHRC will be more vigilant against using children.
