The single bench of Acting Chief Justice of Supreme Court Damodar Prasad Sharma upheld the decision to appoint Subash Nirola as Nepal Tourism Board’s Acting CEO last Monday. The decision was made earlier by the 187th Meeting of Executive Committee of NTB on July 15, 2013.
In the verdict, Sharma also revoked the decision made by Appellate Court Patan on August 25, 2013. The Appellate Court had ordered NTB Executive Committee not to implement its decision to appoint Nirola as the Acting CEO. With this decision, Nirola now becomes the Acting CEO of NTB. With this appoint, he has now also become the Member Secretary of NTB.
Prior to this, Nirola had been working in the capacity of Officiating Chief Executive Officer of NTB. Nirola joined NTB as a Director in 2000 and was the senior most Directors prior to being appointed as Officiating CEO.
