CPN-UML has rejected the possibility of forging electoral alliance with other political parties while stating that it has not made any alliance so far.
Talking to journalists in Bardiya district on October 26, UML leader Bam Dev Gautam ruled out the possibility of forging alliance with the UCPN (Maoist). He, however, did not say anything whether his party will build an alliance with Nepali Congress. “No electoral alliance has been forged with Nepali Congress (NC) so far,” he added.
He described Maoist chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal as a man who does not keep his word and likely to change his statement anytime. He termed Dahal’s talk about electoral alliance as “pretension”.
He further blamed CPN-Maoist has been adopting self-destructive strategy and said that its’ plan to obstruct CA elections will damage the party’s own image.
Gautam has started door-to-door programme as part of election campaign for the coming second CA election.
