MetLife to waive late fee for lapsed policies

September 23: MetLife Nepal has announced the launch of its Policy Reinstatement Campaign. Under the campaign, the company will waive late fees on overdue premium for policyholders whose policies have been lapsed. 

During the campaign period, policyholders with lapsed policies can get their policies reinstated, and get continued insurance protection. A 100% waiver is being offered on the late fee for policies that lapsed less than five years ago. For policies that lapsed 5 years ago, a 50% waiver is being offered on late fees. 

MetLife has been operating in Nepal since 2001 as a branch of American Life Insurance Company, incorporated in the USA, subsidiary of MetLife, Inc. MetLife, Inc. (NYSE: MET), through its subsidiaries and affiliates (“MetLife”), is one of the largest life insurance companies in the world.
