November 8: The Ministry of Home Affairs has appealed to all to organize cultural programmes like deusi and bhailo on the occasion of the Tihar festival only up to 10 pm.
A press release issued today by the Home Ministry spokesman Laxmi Prasad Dhakal states that the public has been requested to organise the deusi and bhailo only up to 10 at night in view of security as people involved in untoward activities during the night time might disturb the law and order.
The Home Ministry has also requested the Tihar and Chhath celebrators not to produce, import, export, sell and distribute, transport and use fireworks like fire-crackers etc, as the use of these explosive materials will have adverse effect on the health of the people, result in injuries and damage of life and property due to break out of fire.
The Ministry also urged the parents not to allow their children use fireworks.
It said anyone disobeying this order would be liable for action as per the existing laws. RSS
