'Stop power supply to industrialists'

January 7: Employees at Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) have strongly demanded to cancel the NEA decision of supplying power to the industrialists and entrepreneurs through special feeders.

Various employees' associations at NEA drew the attention of Deputy Prime Minister and Energy Minister Top Bahadur Rayamajhi and the board of directors of the NEA to immediately stop the decision to provide electricity to industrialists while leaving commoners at dark.

The move of the NEA employees came four hours after the Public Account Committee of the Legislature-Parliament directed the concerned authorities to reconsider the decision to provide electricity to the industrialists and entrepreneurs. RSS
