January 13: In its attempt to revive country’s tourism, the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) is to unveil a plan to mark 2016 as the National Tourism Year, NTB CEO Dipak Raj Joshi said.
Maximum utilisation of the social sites would be made to lure more foreign tourists, considering the challenges tourism sector is facing at the moment, Joshi said at a programme organised on Wednesday by Boster Media.
On the occasion, NTB Board of Director Rajendra Sapkota said that tourism promotional activities would take a pace now onwards.
Likewise, chairman of Trekking Agencies’ Association of Nepal (TAAN) Chandra Prasad Rijal said that marketing of Nepal’s tourism sector is needed by ending the political tug of war in the sector.
On the occasion, tourism entrepreneurs Dipak Mahat, Ram Sharan Thapaliya and others expressed their views on the problems facing tourism sector. RSS
