Power generated by Api power connected to national grid

March 24: Electricity produced by Naugadh Hydropower project, operating under Api Power Company Ltd has been connected to national transmission line. A 8.5 MW project, Naugadh Hydropower started commercial production since 2 Bhadra 2072. According to Sanjiv Naupane, Managing director of the company, generated electricity has been connected to 33 kV ‘bus Bar’ of Balanch substation of Chamelia hydropower project under Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA). 

Earlier, electricity generated was transmitted through alternative 33 kV instead of 132kV transmission line due to delay in construction of transmission life. 

Investors of the company are expected to get minimum of 15% annual return from their investment. Company plans to repay its loan in 12 years. PPA rate in dry season is Rs. 7 while in rainy reason is Rs. 4.
