Horse racing to promote tourism in Pokhara

March 25: In a bid to promote and develop sports tourism, Pokhara, tourism capital of the country, is organizing horse racing competition from April 23. The event will run for five days.

On the occasion, central member of Nepal Horse Riders' Association Lokjung Lama, also chairman of Western Regional Horse Riders' Association said that horse riding tourism would be an effective means to develop tourism in Pokhara. He viewed that horse trekking trail could be constructed to attract more tourists.

Likewise, Western Sports Development Committee Chairman Khag Raj Poudel said that horse riding tourism could be developed as an adventure sports to attract tourists. RSS
