April 3: Energy sector experts said that up to 30 per cent energy can be saved in industrial sector if energy is properly utilized keeping in mind the crisis time.
At an interaction on energy efficiency organized by Butwal Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Butwal Industrial Corridor Management Office in Butwal on Saturday, the participating experts noted the possibility of expanding energy consumption by 30 per cent in Butwal industrial corridor.
On the occasion, engineer at Energy Efficiency Unit Butwal Mohamed Abul Hasan Khan said the proper utilization of energy at the crisis time would benefit both, entrepreneurs and nation. He has found that 30 per cent energy can be saved in nearly 100 industries that were assessed by the Unit.
Another engineer Govinda Neupane said that maintaining quality of the machineries used in the industries such as motor, stabilizer and generator would help reduce the consumption of energy.
Also speaking at the interaction, Chief Engineer at Industrial Corridor Management Office Ram Shanker Jayaswal viewed that there should be no compromise in the use of quality technology as energy is the lifeblood for industry.
At the programme presided over by Association Chairperson Mahesh Man Singh, Vice-Chairperson of Butwal Chamber of Commerce and Industry Ram Bahadur Gurung, Energy Efficiency Unit Coordinator Agni Prasad Shrestha put their remarks on current energy crisis and possible solutions. RSS
