April 15: A mobile expo will be held in Butwal from April 16. It will be for the first time that a mobile exhibition is going to be held outside the Kathmandu Valley. The expo will focus on connecting the technology, entrepreneurs and general people, according to Mobile Committee of Butwal Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the organizer of the event.
The organizer has informed that all preparations for the expo that has been completed. “The exhibition will provide information about all the works that can be done through mobile phones,” says ML Pandey, the Coordinator of the program. "Everyone has mobile phones in their hands, but they are not properly utilized. So this event will focus on connecting entrepreneurs with technology.”
The organiser expects transaction of around Rs 20 million during the expo which will continue for three days. Mobile handsets ranging from Rs 875 to Rs 100,000 will be displayed in the expo. More than 30 mobile brands including iphone, Samsung, Gionee, Micromax, DTC, Lava, Willcom, Fly, Colors, Sony, LG, Karbonn, Blackberry, and Panasonic will participate in the expo. 30,000 visitors are expected in the exhibition.
According to the organizer, there will be free entrance for the differently able people, old and weak. Rs 10 per person will be charged for entrance of normal visitors. Similarly, customers will be offered discounts up to 25 percent in the purchase of mobile phones. Likewise, exchange offer and mobile repairing facility will also be available during the exhibition period.
