JICA Focuses on Rebuilding Rural Areas

April 18: Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has focused its funding on the reconstruction of rural areas. The Japanese agency has mobilised its resources to rebuild schools, health posts and roads of rural areas affected by the last year’s devastating earthquake. 

JICA earlier committed Rs 26.19 billion to help Nepal for the post-quake reconstruction which includes the rebuild more than 300 schools in Gorkha, Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Sindhupalchowk , Dhading, Makwanpur and Lalitpur. According to Reecha Ranjitkar of JICA Nepal, the roads and health posts will also be reconstructed using the same fund.
