MEX Winner of Selfie Contest Announced

April 28: Mercantile Exchange Nepal Limited announced the winner of its first ever Selfie Contest. Barsha Maharjan was declared the winner among over 25 contestants. The contest was targeted towards collecting photographs of the nooks and corners of the country and proclaims that the nation is safe for tourism even after the last year’s disastrous earthquakes.

“As the country is trying to reform the disasters of the natural calamity, every sector of the economy must make effort to rebuild what has been destroyed. Thus in this effort, this endeavor of MEX was to promote domestic as well as international tourism,” MEX Nepal in a press statement said.

 The contest was launched on September 20, 2015 and was concluded on the anniversary of the earthquake. The winner was gifted with a Samsung Tablet E along with other gift hampers.
