'Public Procurement Act needs to be implemented'

May 1 : Construction entrepreneurs have demanded the implementation of Public Procurement Act.  Speaking at the 11th general assembly of the Eastern Region Construction Entrepreneurs Association they said that the non- implementation of the act has been causing various troubles. "We have been facing difficulties due to the non implementation of the act," said the association's President Sharad Kumar Gauchan. "I hope that the act will be implemented as we are continuously pressuring the government."He requested the concerned authorities to become sensitive to the problems of construction entrepreneurs as the sector has been badly hit by the last year's devastating earthquake and unofficial Indian blockade.
