Biratlaxmi in 13th Year

May 12: Biratlaxmi Bikas Bank Limited has celebrated the completion of 12 years of its operation amid a program held on May 10. The bank was established as the first development bank in eastern development region on 2062 B.S.

“The bank is preparing to meet the capital requirement either by merger or any other suitable alternatives,” said Madhav Prasad Koirala, Chairman of the bank. On the occasion, the bank also provided financial assistance to three different social organizations as a part of its corporate social responsibility. The financial institution provided Rs 60,000 to Birateswor Bridha Ashram, Rs 15,000 to Purbanchal Bal Sewa Ashram and Rs 25,000 to Manakamana Sanyas Ashram.

The bank has also organized a blood donation program on May 10 as a part of anniversary celebration. 21 people including staffs of the bank and well wishers donated blood in the program.
