Govt Survey: Rise in Price of Major Food Items

May 27: The economic survey of current fiscal year presented by the government on Thursday at Legislature- Parliament has shown rise in price of most of the food products.

The survey conducted on the basis of 10 consumer items has shown rise in price of all agricultural consumer products except the price of potato, onion and ginger. The most of the consumer items included in the survey such as rice, wheat flour, cereals, mustard oil, ghee, mutton, potato, onion and ginger has shown increase in price.

The survey mentioned that the price as of mid February was high in compare to mid July of current fiscal year.
