Himalaya Airlines Starts Kathmandu-Doha Flight

June 2: Himalaya Airlines has started its first flight to Doha, Qatar from June 1. The first flight took off from Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in 11pm landed at Hamad International Airport (HIA), Doha in 1:30 pm Nepal time.

“The airlines aims to provide service for 500,000 Nepalis who are in Qatar for employment. The Airbus 320-214 which has eight business-class and 150 economy-class seats successfully launched its inaugural flight states,” the company said issuing a press statement.

According to the statement, the airlines will make three flights for the first two weeks and will make daily flights from June 15.

Likewise, Himalaya Airlines is working to introduce 15 airplanes for international flights within five years.  Similarly, the company is planning to expand its flight networks to Delhi, India and Lahasa, Chengdu and Beijing of China.
