June 8: Gionee has opened its fourth exclusive showroom in Itahari. The showroom was inaugurated by Miss Nepal 2016, Asmi Shrestha on June 7. “This exclusive showroom will help customers get acquainted to Gionee smartphones prior to purchase, and decide the right model for them,” informs the company in a press statement.
Similarly, Gionee has launched the Marathon M5 mini in Nepal. “M5 mini is the latest addition to Gionee big-battery Marathon series,” reads the statement.
The M5 mini comes with a 5" HD screen with an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. The phone is powered by a 4000mAh battery and can charge devices through reverse-OTG charging. Running on Amigo 3.1, Gionee's own software based on Android 5.1 Lollipop, the new Gionee smartphone is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor. The M5 mini has 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM (expandable via micro-SD card to 128GB).
Currently, 14 models of Gionee are available in the Nepali market. The Gionee M5 mini is priced at Rs 16,999.
