July 8: Federation of Contractors’ Association of Nepal (FCAN) has asked the government to provide security to construction entrepreneurs. Issuing a press statement, the association urged the authorities to ensure adequate security as contractors have been facing harassment and attacks across the country in the recent days.
As per the FCAN, the technical teams of road division of Palpa and construction entrepreneur Ram Prasad Bhatta were badly injured when a group of 10/15 people attack them. The incident took place during the measurement on the construction of road to the factory of CG Cement in Palpa.
Ram Sharan Deuja, General Secretary of FCAN said, “This kind of criminal activities has created violation on entrepreneur.” The Federation also requested to the government for the short-term and long-term security measures of entrepreneurs and the project areas.
