Pokhara -Delhi Bus Service From July 11

July 10: A bus service from Pokhara -Delhi and Delhi-Pokhara will commence from July 11. The service will be operated with the joint effort of Modern Ira Tours and Travels and Gajiyabadh Depot of Uttar Pardesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC).

An agreement to this regard had already been signed between the two organisations. Keshab Parsad Adhikari, President of Modern Ira Tours and Travel and PK Bose, Chief of Gajiyabadh Depot of UPSRTC, signed a nine-point agreement on June 13 starting the bus to start the bus service.

“As per the arrangement, the bus will depart at 9 in the morning from the Pokhara Tourism Buspark ,” says Adhikari. “The bus will follow a rotue of Syanja, Waling, Butwal, Sunauli Border, Gorakhpur, Lucknow, Delhi and finally Anandabihar.”

The service will be operated under Prithivi Highway Bus Operators Committee.  Four buses from both sides will provide the service. “Deluxe AC buses will be operated charging NPR 2,200 and INR Rs 3,520 for the service,” informs Adhikari.

Home Minister Shakti Bahadur Basnet, Ranjit Roy, Ambassador of India to Nepal will be jointly inaugurating the service which will be held on July 11.
