Gold prices reached a new high in the domestic market on Sunday, surpassing the previous record of Rs 150,800 per tola made last week on August 13.
The precious yellow metal became dearer by Rs 3,000 per tola (11.66 grams), with the fine gold being traded at Rs 152,600 per tola, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association.
Fine gold was traded at Rs 149,600 per tola last Friday.
Similarly, the price of silver rose by Rs 50 per tola to Rs 1,810 per tola from Rs 1,760 last Friday.
