Price of Gold Reaches All-Time High in Nepal

The price of gold has surged to a record high on Wednesday, reaching Rs 153,100 per tola (11.66 grams), according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers Association. 

The price of gold increased by Rs 800 per tola on Wednesday compared to Tuesday when it was traded for Rs 152,300.

Similarly, the price of silver also increased on Wednesday, rising by Rs 5 per tola to reach Rs 1,855 per tola, according to the federation.

Earlier on August 21, the price of fine gold had set a record of Rs 153,000 per tola for the first time in Nepal.

The federation fixes the prices of gold and silver based on the price in the international market.
