The government has decided to accept a concessional loan assistance of approximately Rs 15.29 billion (or $115 million) from the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
The loan will be used for the irrigation modernization enhancement Project.
A team led by the joint secretary from the Ministry of Finance will be formed to hold negotiations with ADB on behalf of the government.
A meeting of the Council of Ministers on Thursday took the decision, according to Prithvi Subba Gurung, Minister for Communications and Information Technology.
