Nepal Airlines Corporation's (NAC) wide-body aircraft, 9N-ALY (Annapurna), has returned to Kathmandu after successful completion of its C-check in Italy.
The aircraft landed at Tribhuvan International Airport at 8:36 am on Thursday (September 12).
The aircraft underwent maintenance at Attitech, an Italy-based organisation certified by both the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), said NAC, issuing a press statement.
"Attitech has finalised the international legal process and issued the Certificate of Release to Service (CRS) following the C-check maintenance," the statement reads.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) then completed the necessary legal procedures for the required permissions.
"Following receipt of the CRS from the Maintenance and Overhaul Organisation (MRO), the CAAN finalised the legal procedures for the required permissions, and the flight landed in Kathmandu today, September 12, 2024, at 8:36 a.m.," the press release added.
With 9N-ALY now back in operation, NAC plans to expand its services to long-distance international destinations, including Japan, utilising a fleet of three planes, including the newly serviced 9N-ALY.
