Collaboration between Chhimek Laghubitta and Sachham-Access to Finance

July 28: Chhimek Laghubitta Bikas Bank is going to provide financial services in the rural areas of Western Nepal in the collaboration of Sachham-Access to Finance program aided by the UK Aid.  “With this collaboration, the bank will provide the financial services in those areas through female banking agents,” informed the bank in a press statement. Baljit Bohara, Team Chief of Sachham program and Ramchandra Joshi, CEO of the Chhimek Laghubitta signed on the agreement on behalf of respective institution amid a program on July 27.

According to the statement, the collaboration will empower the local women to work in tough geographical areas like Banke, Dadeldhura, Dang, Kailali and Rukum as a branchless banking agent. “Training will also be given to the women candidates selected as a digital women to work freely,” adds the statement.
