Kathmandu Varanasi Sangitik Sandhya Organised

July 31: Embassy of India along with B. P. Koirala India-Nepal Foundation organised a musical program, “Kathmandu Varanasi Sangitik Sandhya” with Sur-Sudha and Siddhartha Art Gallery, at Army Officers’ Club, Kathmandu on July30.

Issuing a press statement, it has been informed that four Indian Classical musicians from Varanasi arrived in Kathmandu to participate in the program alongside Nepalese artists. H.E. Chief of Army Staff Rajendra Chhetri was the Chief Guest of the Program. According to the press statement, Nepali music band Sur Sudha, vocalist Dr Bishnu Poudel, eminent Nepali vocal artist and sarod player Mohan Sundar Shrestha had performed at the event. The event also saw performances of Indian artists included Shrawani Biswas on Sitar, Sanjay Verma on Hawaiin Guitar, Rajneesh Tiwari on Tabla and vocalist Ram Shankar.

The program was attended by more than 500 persons including Senior Army Officers of Nepal Army, Nepali musicians, foreign diplomats and media persons.
