Nepal Crush Maldives 11-0 in SAFF Women's Championship

Nepal crushed the Maldives 11-0 in the SAFF Women's Championship match on Monday. This is the first victory of hosts Nepal in SAFF Championship currently underway at the    
Dhasharath Stadium, Tripureshwar.    
Rekha Poudel scored five goals for Nepal while Priti Rai added a hat-trick. Similarly, Sabita Rana Magar, Anita KC and Amisa Karki contributed one goal each to complete the rout.   
With this victory, Nepal is on the top place of 'Group B' with four points. Nepal had played a goalless draw against Bhutan in their first match under the SAFF Women's Championship on Friday. Bhutan with equal four points is in the second place on goal difference.    
India and Bangladesh will next face each other under the SAFF Championship match at 5:30 PM on October 23. -- RSS
