Lions Club Professional Provides Scholarship

August 4: Lions Club of Sidharthanagar Professional, an institute initiated by banking staffs, has provided scholarship to three students of Mugu district. The institute has provided the scholarship of Rs 360,000 to economically weak students for their higher studies amid a program organised in Bhairahawa.

“The scholarship amount are provided to support the students from remote part of the country for their higher studies,” said Amrit Thapa, Bhairahawa Branch Manager of Fewa Bikas Bank and Former Chairman of the club. The club has provided the scholarship to SLC graduates Sunkali Budha, Rumba Saut and another student of Mugu. Thapa said “The club has arranged accommodation in Kathmandu for the studies of the students.”

The club informed that it provided the scholarship to the students after being inspired from a documentary based on the primitive life of Mugu.
