August 14: Himalayan Bank Limited (HBL) and N & P 1004 Co. Ltd, Japan (QS Remit) have signed an agreement to start remittance service to Nepal. Issuing a press statement, the bank informed of commencing business operation from japan through QS remit on the occasion of Nepal Festival 2016 organized at Tokyo, Japan on 6th and 7th August.
“The agreement will benefit Nepalese living in Japan and will now have more options than ever for sending funds to back home, to friends and family in Nepal,” said Keneshiro Mari, Chairman of QS Remit.
According to the statement, remittance sent through QS Remit can be withdrawn from the 42 branches of HBL including more than 7500 agent locations of HimalRemit spread all across Nepal. The arrangement will benefit more than 60,000 Nepalese residing in Japan.
