Pokhara Metropolitan City is preparing to launch the ‘Pokhara Visit Year 2025’ with an ambitious target of attracting 2 million tourists.

According to Mayor Dhanraj Acharya, the tourism campaign will be officially announced on February 15. A 1,050-member main organizing committee has been formed under his leadership to spearhead the initiative.

In addition to the main committee, 43 sub-committees have been established, with Acharya also heading the Directorate Committee responsible for overseeing the campaign’s implementation.

“We are working towards the official declaration of Pokhara Visit Year,” Acharya told the state-owned news agency RSS. “Ambassadors from various countries will attend the inaugural event.”
