Melamchi Pipeline Bursts Again, Flooding Thapathali Area

Workers carried out repair work at Thapathali, Kathmandu, on Tuesday afternoon after a pipeline of the Melamchi Water Supply Project burst earlier in the morning.  

The rupture inundated the stretch from Thapathali Chowk to Norvic Hospital, disrupting vehicular movement and impacting homes and businesses.

This incident comes just weeks after a similar pipeline failure in nearby Babarmahal, raising concerns over the project's infrastructure reliability.
