Light Snowfall Expected in Mountainous Regions Today

The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has forecast light snowfall in certain parts of Nepal today, March 20. According to the Department, the mountainous regions of Koshi Province are expected to experience partly cloudy weather this afternoon, with a chance of light snowfall in one or two areas.

In the hill regions, the weather is predicted to be partly cloudy, with the possibility of light rain, thunder, and lightning in isolated areas. Meanwhile, the Terai region of Madhes Province is likely to have fair weather throughout the day.

In Bagmati Province, the mountainous regions are expected to remain partly cloudy. Similarly, Gandaki Province’s mountainous areas may also see partly cloudy conditions, with a chance of light snowfall in one or two places.

The Department further stated that Karnali Province could experience light snowfall in one or two areas of its mountainous region, while the hill regions may remain partly cloudy. There is also a possibility of light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in isolated parts of the province.

In Sudurpaschim Province, both the mountainous and hill regions are likely to have partly cloudy weather.

Residents in affected areas are advised to stay updated on weather conditions and take necessary precautions, especially in regions expecting snowfall or thunderstorms. -- RSS
