In separate statements, both organizations demanded strict action against those responsible for the unrest. They denounced the destruction of both private and public property, acts of looting, and arson, stressing that while the right to peaceful protest must be upheld, it should not come at the expense of disrupting business activities.

“The looting, arson, attacks on private property, and loss of human lives are deeply condemnable,” FNCCI stated.

Similarly, FENIE urged all stakeholders to foster a secure and fair environment for businesses to operate. It labeled the criminal activities carried out in the Tinkune and Koteshwor areas as deplorable.
