September 2: Students of The British College (TBC) have won the 1st Inter College Counter Strike – Global Offensive Competition (CS-GO). The 1st Inter-College E-Sports Championship 2016 was organized by British College IT club. The event attracted over 2000 competitors from 40 different colleges. “At The British College we want to promote the growing interest and participation in E-Sports and seek to maximise team involvement through our first ever E-Sports event,” informed the college in a press statement.
Arun Lal Joshi, Associate Dean, IT and Computer Science of The British College awarded the winners of different categories. “Promoting this type of event helps students develop their skills in event and project management beside entertainment and study,” said Joshi speaking after the award ceremony.
The winner under Counter Strike-Global Offence (CS-GO) was TEAM GFS The British College with the participants Sagar Gopali, Danish Gurung, Pranaya Dahal, Vijay Man Bajracharya, Raj Krishna Maharjan, Abhiyan Gautam and Shreyaj Poudel. Similarly, TEAM Power Play was 1st runner up.
Under the DOTA 2, team 4 Merical was the winner where Kunal Timilsina, Ajit Lama, Ajay Tamang, Dipu Lama, Simul Bista and Prabin Maharjan were student participants.
Similarly, under the FIFA 16, Sanjay Sipai was the winner followed by Pronim Piya as 1st runner up and kripesh Maharjan as 2nd runner up.
