Cabinet Yet to Convene Ahead of President’s Address on FY26 Policies and Programmes

The cabinet meeting called for 10 AM on Friday, May 2, to approve the government’s policies and programmes for the upcoming fiscal year has yet to take place.

Despite President Ramchandra Paudel being scheduled to present the annual policy document before a joint session of the Federal Parliament today, the endorsement required from the cabinet remains pending.

Prime Minister’s press advisor, Prakash Silwal, confirmed the delay, stating that the meeting has not begun as the Prime Minister is currently occupied with other engagements.

“The meeting scheduled for 10 AM could not be held. At this point, it’s unclear when it will convene,” Silwal said.
