NewBiz Award being Handed to a Leading Public Enterprise for the First Time: Chairman Lamsal

The 9th edition of the NewBiz Business Excellence Awards and Conclave 2025 officially commenced in Kathmandu today, June 26, bringing together key stakeholders from Nepal’s corporate, academic, and public sectors to honor outstanding achievements in business and innovation.

Welcoming the participants, the Chairman of New Business Age Madan Lamsal highlighted the event's continued dedication since 2013 to recognizing excellence across Nepal’s dynamic business landscape.

“This platform celebrates leadership, innovation, and the pursuit of excellence,” he remarked, in his welcome speech which was also broadcast live via online platforms.

The event was graced by Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Damodar Bhandari as the Chief Guest, and Vice Chairman of the National Planning Commission, Prof. Dr. Shiva Raj Adhikari, as the Special Guest.

Besides recognizing the contributions of banking, insurance, information technology, and healthcare sectors, this edition, notably for the first time, is also honoring a leading public enterprise, reflecting a broader focus on institutional achievement, said Chairman Lamsal.

He expressed gratitude to the jury panel comprising respected experts and leaders for ensuring an independent and transparent evaluation process. Chairman Lamsal also extended special appreciation to Asian Paints, the title sponsor, and all supporting partners, with an assurance that while their support is vital, it does not influence the award decisions.
