Paramount Motors, the authorized distributor of MG (Morris Garages) in Nepal, on Thursday, July 31, launched the MG IM6, a premium electric SUV, during an event held at Hotel Hyatt, Chuchchepati.

The IM6, part of MG’s IM sub brand, will be showcased at the upcoming NAIMA Mobility Expo from August 6 to 10.

The IM brand was introduced in 2020 by China’s SAIC Motor, MG’s parent company, in partnership with Alibaba.

The company said the IM6 comes with artificial intelligence (AI) features and aims to expand the electric vehicle (EV) segment in Nepal. Features include a four-wheel steering system, 20-inch aerodynamic wheels, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus AI-assisted parking and reversing functions.

“The MG IM6 embodies SAIC’s global vision of ‘Intelligence in Motion’,” said Sunil Bahadur Thapa, general manager of Paramount Motors. “With its AI-assisted systems and premium cabin, it represents the future of smart driving in Nepal.”

The vehicle measures 4.9 meters in length, has a ground clearance of 175 mm, and is built on the IM digital chassis. It also includes a “crab mode” function and a one-touch chauffeur system.

According to Paramount Motors, the IM6 offers a range of up to 450 kilometers, a top speed of 200 km/h, and features such as synthetic leather seats, a ventilated wireless charging pad, and 20 built-in speakers. Cameras and sensors enhance visibility in challenging weather conditions.

The SUV is priced at Rs 7,499,000 and is available across all MG showrooms in Nepal. Test drives can be scheduled through local dealerships.
