Nepal Mobility Expo 2025 Begins

The NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2025 began on Wednesday, August 6,  in Kathmandu, with Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel inaugurating the event.

The five-day expo, organised by the Nepal Automobile Importers and Manufacturers Association (NAIMA), features participation from over 50 automobile brands.

Automobile dealers are using the platform to unveil new vehicles throughout the day, with dedicated time slots for each brand. A total of 35 new models including 15 two-wheelers, 15 four-wheelers, and five commercial vehicles are being introduced on the very first day.

New launches include the Maxus MIFA 7 MPV, Jaecoo J-5, Forthing Friday, Mahindra's BE.6 and XUV 9e, BYD’s Atto 1, Leapmotor B10. The MIFA 7 electric MPV is being offered at a special introductory price of Rs 12.5 million. 

India’s Ather Energy has also entered the Nepali market, launching its Rizta Z MX08 electric scooter. 

Dealers are offering discounts of up to Rs 2 million on select models during the expo. While the event showcases electric, hybrid, and fuel-powered vehicles, auto parts are not being exhibited.

Organisers estimate that the expo will attract around 80,000 visitors over its five-day run.
